If you live in or around Stockholm we will deliver the phone personally so we can demons trate it before you use it. Outside the Stockholm area 200:- sek transport cost is added to your bill, we'll then send the phone by Posten to any valid adress in Sweden, Danmark or Finland. Upon return you leave the phone with the included return label without any extra costs at a Posten Service Point. All phones come with an English manual. We rent out phones of the type Hughes 7101. This is a GMS900, Thuraya Satellite and GPS compatible device. All phones come in strong packaging, including a travel charger that enables you to charge your phone worldwide.
The standby time of this phone is 30 to 50 hours, talk time 2,5 till 5 hours and the weight is 220 grams.
The other type of phone we rent out is the newer Thuraya SO-2510. This phone features an USB connection for mobile data and fax and a colour screen. The phone supports only Thuraya, so no GSM roaming here. The phone has a standby time of 30 to 50 hours and a talk time of up to 2,5 hours. The unit weights just 130 grams.
The Thuraya network is unique: it's a satellite network, but it supports GSM mode as well. With a Thuraya phone you can use existing GSM coverage. You plug in your own SIM card so you are reachable with your own phone number, paying normal roaming costs. As soon as coverage from existing mobile networks ends, the phone automaticly switches to the Thuraya satellite network. The Thuraya phones we rent out have an integrated GPS receiver. Thuraya coverage You can use the Thuraya satellite coverage almost everywhere in Europe, Africa and most parts of Asia. You are free to choose between the GSM900 or Thuraya network. For satellite coverage you need the satellites in view, meaning you can't use Thuraya satellite mode indoors. Within the covered area Thuraya also works at sea, in the mountains, desert or jungle. Thuraya is the best choice within it's coverage area due to the low cost, high reliability and ease of use.
